Muso W.Y. Huang (previously known as Yllis) enters into a hyperrealised collaboration with visual brand 18 Uppercut, scoring their 4-minute short ‘Dukkha‘.

Influenced deeply by their identities as part of the Asian diaspora, as well as the team’s love for classic Kung-Fu films, Godzilla and Dragonball Z, this unique blend of animation, film, and sound is a new -albeit gory- experience in itself.

Pulling out all the stops in terms of discovering what it means to traverse the East-West gap,  the team refer to what they were going for as “a blitz of beats, beatings and furious colour”. Synapse slamming indeed!
