Taiwan’s bedroom pop darling LÜCY is making a return to Europe with a three-date tour. Playing venues across Germany, the UK and France, European fans can look forward to a unique blend of indie folk, electronic textures and psychedelic soundscapes.
LÜCY has been making waves ever since the release of her first single – “CACTUS”- while she was still at school back in 2021. Taken from her debut album LÜCY, her now trademark blend of Mandarin/English (and sometimes aboriginal language) lyrics against a laidback folk-inspired sonic landscape immediately brought her a legion of fans.
Since then, she has earned invitations to major international festivals including SXSW, Primavera Sound, and Clockenflap, released a second album – Dance on the Shoreline – and been nominated for a Golden Melody Award.
While maintaining her unique lo-fi sound, her recent collaborations with an eclectic range of producers and musicians has seen a broadening of her musical range. From the hypnotic electronica of ‘LOOP’ – a collab with Norwegian musician Moyka, to her lullaby to youth, ‘Toy Boat’, alongside Canadian artist Ollie, there is a deeper melancholy to her new work.
With a neat two years between her previous albums (released 2022 and 2024), could these new tracks be pointing to a third album to come before the end of the year? We’ll be waiting with baited breath, but in the meantime, at least we have more live performances to look forward to!
