18th November 2025 marks godfather of Mandarin Soul, R&B and Blues Khalil Fong’s 20th Anniversary since his debut.

As such, his label Fu Music has announced upcoming plans for Fong’s unreleased projects dating all the way til 2028.

A prolific artist, songwriter and producer who penned hundreds of released works for himself and other prolific artists such as A-Mei, Diana Wang, Shila Amzah and Jacky Cheung; Fong revealed to Asian Pop Weekly in an 2020 interview that he had already completed up to book 10 in the series, and that there were more to come.

Fu Music has announced that Fong has already prepared titles for Volumes 16 to 30 of his children’s graphic book series “Emi The Dream Catcher”, which his mother has decided to complete and publish in time to come.

In an interview with Asian Pop Weekly in 2019, Fong pondered:

“For every book I also release a song tie in which is fun imagining that by the time I’ve released 30 books, I’ll also have a collection of 30 children’s songs.” 

With the announcement, Fu Music also revealed plans to open an immersive space on Khalil’s birthday in 2027 titled “The Dreamer” which they described as “a space infused with Khalil’s musical and artistic ambiance, where visitors can explore the mysteries of life alongside Emi, Zier, and Mr. Inspiration.”

Additionally, a special album is in the works for release in 2028, with a documentary already in pre-production and with more commemorative works to come.
