Exactly one year since the launch of the fluffle podcast, Asia’s first womxn in music collective fluffle keeps the momentum going, launching the second season of the podcast 5th March with an intimate conversation with podcast host Jocelle Koh.

On the premiere episode of the first season, Jocelle shares the intention behind this flipping of the script where she is interviewed by prominent Asian Australian radio host, DJ and artist manager Small FRY

“Throughout the entire first season of the podcast, we’ve emphasised topics of developing inner confidence, staying rooted in your own agency and trusting yourself and your value in your creative process. We felt it was high time for me to walk the talk, and give a little context on how I reinforced these values within my own experiences.”

Reflecting on her experiences as an adolescent and young adult, Koh shared about how growing up between Singapore, Australia and Taiwan as well as her experiences as a young woman in music have shaped her experiences and fuelled her passion, before diving into topics such as how to maintain creative sustainability, consistency and balance between music as a passion and career.

While the first season of the podcast focused on diverse profiles of womxn in music across Asia who were expert multihyphenates in their fields, (such as Dizzy Dizzo (Taiwan), Amber Akilla (Shanghai), Tyen Rasif (Singapore)), encouraging creative exploration and curiosity in all its forms is the guiding principle of season two, across a variety of topics with interview guests from across Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Canada and Australia.

“This season we learned from a variety of womxn in music across unique topics of interest they held, such as sustainability, faith, A.I., surfing, acting and more. I’m a serial hobbyist, and realised that following my curiosity, even way past what others considered rational has been a big factor in my own creative fulfilment and empowerment. Women have been traditionally discouraged from widely exploring their interests and curiosities unless they exist within the narrow structures of the patriarchy, so each time womxn explore their curiosities, I consider it an act of activism” says Jocelle.

Supported by global music distributor Tunecore for the second year in a row, in celebration of Tunecore’s 20th year of driving independence and diversity in the music scene this season of the podcast promises to feature topics much aligned with Tunecore’s values, discussing topics such as A.I., digital music ethics and female empowerment through various lens in the music industry.

Since 2006, Tunecore have paid out over 5 billion USD to their artists, representing an increased ability to support a diversity of independent artists to grow their business as musicians. Tunecore have led the way for increased transparency and empowerment for women in music through their Be The Change movement and wider work championing independence with the Music fights fraud alliance, and tunecore’s accelerator program over the years.

Head of Tunecore Southeast Asia Cyrus Chen shared his perspective on how the podcast brings a unique point of view to the conversation about diversity.

“For 20 years, Tunecore has been dedicated to driving diversity and independence in music. fluffle’s decision to anchor this season around the power of curiosity perfectly mirrors our own journey of championing diverse voices. By supporting the curiosity and agency of women across Asia, fluffle is creating a powerful ripple effect that challenges industry norms and inspires the next generation of independent creators. We are delighted to be able to play a part in its second season.”

The podcast will air monthly on the first Thursday of each month for ten episodes concluding in December 2026.
