While Melbourne seems to be at a standstill due to COVID-19 this year, Asian-Australian singer-songwriter Yeo has continued flexing his creative muscles and delving into different experimentations with his sound and audiences.

Unveiling his first collab of 2020, Yeo works with Taiwanese singer-songwriter Chendy 陳葦廷 on fully Mandarin track “好好的過 Have A Nice Life” which fuses the Melbourne-based artist’s bouncy basslines and irresistible R&B beats with a Mandopop friendly melody to create a fusion like no other.

Shot intentionally with contrasting styles, the music video highlights the reality of differences between two people and how it keeps them apart despite lingering feelings.

Filming the music video remotely and within the confines of each of their own spaces, Yeo and Chendy depict many themes in the uniquely conceptualised video; of creativity in restricted settings, of fragmented relationships, and of connections that find their way across boundaries with the right collaborators.
